Cable won't connect :(

Traded off my 80 gigger, threw a 1.6 in, installed xp and now I can't connect
So I plug the cat 5 cable into it and get zip. I have an a7n8x dlx ver 1.06 but I got it refurbed and never ( I know, I know) backed up the drivers. Before I could always get on the internet right away and d/l the drivers.
I wouldn't imagine it would be a driver issue.

I tried every possible option. I tried automatically obtaining the addresses, not automatically, setting up new connections, etc, etc.

I also tried it on another computer and get the same thing. It's almost like I don't have service, but I know better than that.

I'm using dial up right now, so please help!!!!!!!!1

Who is your cable provider? I have cableone and if changing computers or router I have to have them either reset the mac addy or clone it myself.

BTW what cable modem are you using and what lights light up?

I have Cox and I have the same problem as MDS. My new router has been spoofing my old router's MAC addy for three months now 'cause I've been too lazy to try and find a knowledgable Cox Communications service rep that can help me with this.

I know you've probably already done this, but I just have to make sure you've reset your modem...unplugged the power for about 15 seconds, plugged it back in. Gotta start small when troubleshooting, next we'll go over WINS & DNS configurations.
