safe mode

just need some quick help. why would windows 98 keep booting in safe mode. i didnt shut it down right and then it booted in safe mode when i started it again. but now even when i shut down the computer completely it still boots in safe mode all the time and i cant get it back to normal mode.

Try restarting your computer and then push the F8 key just before the splash screen arrives. This will bring up the boot menus and then select normal mode and start windows normally. this should keep it in normal mode.

If this does not work and it keeps reverting to safe mode try opening your msconfig properties and ensure that safe mode is not the default boot.
