Cnxstd.cty file

I had a modem go bad and when I went to install the new the set-up disk crashed my reg.
I had to reinstal win98SE ontop og old one to get my reg to work but then I still had no modem, and had to reinstal the drivers for usb printer & scaner. But still no modem- I found out the problem was a file missing off of the instal disk named CnxStd.cty and I tried everywhere I cood think of but could not find the file, So what I did was rename the Cnx2013.cty to CnxStd.cty. It worked and everything is up but will this cause any probs on down the road? I think the file just sets up region or something for dailup but not sure.

Gaming

Here ya go: (right-click and click save target as...)

http://www.realtek.lv/ftp/pub/suppor...N9X/CNXStd.cty

I did see, however, some articles claming the rename should work fine but I think its better to have the original file
