MSI KT4 Ultra FISR

Hey, I am new to these forums. Thought I would drop by and see if I can get some help with a new mobo I had just purchased.

I just purchased an MSI KT4 Ultra FISR. AMD 3200+ Capatible and allows for 400mhz memory to be placed.

I am going to purchase an AMD XP3200 Barton chip soon and would like to use the new type of memory. Either XP2700 (2x512mb @ 333mhz) or XP3200 (1x512 @400mhz). Ok... now for my question. I have been to MSI homepage and read the specs on this specific motherboard. It states that I can only use 1 stick of XP3200 (400mhz type) memory at 2 channels. Does anyone have this board and ever tried running it with XP3200 (2x512 @ 400mhz)?

Also will the XP3200+ operate with XP2700 memory running at 333mhz?

Ya... if anyone has any suggestions as what I can do to mod this board feel free to let me know.

Yes.

Not sure about the single stick of DDR400, I have a freind with one of these boards, but he uses 333, I'll ask him if he knows anything about this.

According to MSI, you can use 2 slots for DDR400
