Slow shutdown with 2 hard drives?

For some reason my computer takes over 2 minutes to shut down. I don't know what is taking so long, but my Dell(1.3ghz) has a 40 gig and a 200gig hard drive and takes like 30 seconds to shutdown. I remember reading a windows XP tweak or something to speed up the windows shutdown if you have two hard drives. The settings for both computers are the same. The paging file is on the hard drive that doesn't have the operating system. My dell has 768 megs of ram.
My other computer is 3.06 ghz with 1 gig of ram, 80 and a 120 gig hard drive. I keep them all clean and defrag and what not regularly. So why is my slow dell shutting down sooner than my much faster computer?
Both computers are running Windows XP Pro SP1 with most of the updates.

I think those two HDD are very heavy Heavy capacity, with all the programs software you install and files you download. Your hard disk, each have Win XP correct? Though your system requirements are very good, your computer probably was too busy in maintaining those two HDD at the same time.
You can try and error by only running one of your HDD as primary master and see what happens when shutting it down. I'm sure its even faster.
Your computer probably needs a lot of juice from the power supply as well. Why don't you have only one OS for your primary master? Instead of having it in two each. The other HDD would be your primary slave. A lot of people usually updates their Win XP. Its got a lot to do with RAMs.

p/s: I never update my Win XP and currently running 2 HDD as well. All seems fine but only takes mere 7 seconds to hibernate and shutting down takes mere 12 seconds. That was just a rough guess but mere that

I just looked in the registry and yes it is. You nailed it right on the head. I guess I must have enabled it a while back and forgot about it. I read that its good for security because things you were working on are stored in the paging file and can be recovered easily. You think its necessary to clear it every shutdown for more security?
