That's unfortunately pretty common with Ti4200's - that's a big reason why there's a high RMA rate on those cards. I'm waiting for a replacement on one right now. It got so hot, the capacitors started to pop & it finally became unstable.

There's not much you can do to cool it down without spending significant money - other than just make sure you have good airflow around it. Perhaps even a "slot fan" next to it would help a bit.

fx5200 is a piece of trash....best used in cheap systems (non-gaming) or for toilet paper.

You could try some better thermal interface material and get a bigger HSF with a faster fan. Sometimes the stock fans just won't cut it.

Which model is your Asus card? V9280?

I think that the cheapest solutions for this would be to either create a side fan to blow outside air directly on it, or as ragtop mentioned get a cheap $10 slot fan and put it right under the vid to draw the hot air out of it, or blow cold air onto it (depeding on the slot fan).
Personlay I would try to get one that blows air out, since it does not disrupt the natural flow or air as one that blows air in.

You can always get a Radeon 9600 Pro. It's DX9 compatible, its MUCH cooler and runs DX9 games faster then the FX 5900 ULTRA 256MB. Oh, and Newegg has it for about $153, it looks like a nice card, oh and I've heard that the upcoming 9600XT gives a 9700np a run for its money and should run as low as $175 a few weeks after launch.
