GF4 not compatible with Asus?

I just got a brand new GF4 Ti4600 and when I install it into my Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard, the red bulb lights up (which means its not installed correctly or its not compatible). I know i installed it correctly. I put a diff video card in there (FX 5200) and it works, and i've also put the 4600 in a different computer and it works. So is there a compatibility issue here?

Sure you had it fully seated in agp slot. If so Id say yep, you found a compat issue for sure.

What is the brand, my Msi geforce 4 ti 4600 hasn't had any problems so far with the motherboard.
Also have you checked for any revisions of the firmware for the card that might help?

The red light on board coming on. Means its before drivers or anything-before post even its screaming somthings wrong. That lgiht is for 1.5v compat 4x or lower (8x). These mobos only run 4x and 8x. No 2x the volts is incompat and too high, it would burn both board and card if one was used. So they implemented this light to stop that. That is the reason for the light. It coming on with this card.... I have no idea why? But I do know what the light is for and that somthing is def wrong. Only resonable thing I can think of is it not being seated proper OR a bios incompat issue which is VERY possible. These guys (bios engineers etc.) cant test every single card out there. Especially the vastly dif Nvidia makes with custom bios's somtimes. Some videos use the standard chip makers bios (nvidia standard) some make thier own. Like mobo's chipset and other (ati) video GPU co's do it. Does this card use VisionTek's custom bios or a standard Ti one? If standard this is REALLY odd, if not it could be the special video bios that makes it diff from rest. Dunno? Its odd thats for sure. Wish Peter was around. He'd have a great insight on this issue. Maybe you'll get lucky-he'll see your post. Or you could PM him and show him your post?

All that electrical wizardry (signalling voltage negotiation, warning light going on et al) takes place long before the CPU even starts doing anything, let alone execute BIOS. You got an electrical problem there - either the mainboard's security cutoff misinterprets the graphics card as 3.3V-only, or the card screws up on the voltage negotiation and actually tries to run 3.3V signalling.
There's little cure for an end user, since any possible fixes would require hacking the hardware.
