Problem accessing my webserver on the internet

I use the Apache webserver and windows xp. I am behind a software firewall, Zonealarm Pro. I believe I made it so that port 80 is opened. I can access my server on my computer by typing in http://nnland.cjb.net/. You can see in the status bar on the bottom it goes to my IP. I ask some friends to see if they can go to my site and some say that it gets timed out or just doesn't connect. I went to the Apache website and look for some help. It says that I can changed any Port and Listen directives in httpd.conf to use port 8000 and then request your site using http://yourhost.example.com:8000/. I want to know if anybody else had this problem and try this fix and if it worked for them or if they had to do something else? Thanks for the help

I am able to hit the server but it looks like either something with cjb.net or your code has a problem. I get the title bar so the server is serving, just choking on content somewhere.

Who is your ISP? It sounds like to me your ISP is blocking the ports (80) your trying to run your server on. Many ISP's block common server ports on their "home user" connections so that they can charge more for "business" class connections where they allow you to run server services such as HTTP/SMTP/POP3 ect ect

I have bellsouth. I asked a tech support guy about running a server on my connection and he said "It's your connection, you can do whatever you want with it. We just don't give support for it if something goes wrong". So i am like "Yea baby, let the fun begin".
