Counter-strike New comp same key error

okay before i used my cd-key and it worked PERFECTLY fine. then i noticed when i reformatted my comp and reinstalled Half-life i can not use the key to play online nemore. it says it's invalid. but i mean it works so that i can get in. but when i play online it says its invalid. IT WORKED perfectly fine before i reinstalled it. does neone know why this problem occurs?

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

it could be that the won servers are down and your cs (more than likely 1.5) is lookin for them, get 1.6 since its goin to be the main thing from now on

i just update my cstrike into v1.5 and i can't play online because they say something like ,,cd key its not valid(compatible) with the VALVE system.Can somebody tell me what i can do about that...how can i change my cd key or something??thank you

newest version is 1.6 I think, WON servers dissapeared, did you updated halflife to the latest version?
Can you play singleplayer?

www.steampowered.com --- dl steam w/ cs 1.6 and u should be able to run it all now... WON is down, long live STEAM
