I finally got more Ram !!!!!!!!!!!

And after a violent struggle i actually got it into the slot. I never thought it would be so difficult to get in. It's only Pc 133 cause thats all my mobo can take. I now have 384 mb of ram. 128+256 I will be getting Win XP soon. and then I will reformat my HD because it is just crawling to a stop.

Yeaaaaaaaaa more ram!!!!!!!!!!!!

My aging dell that I had for about 2 years was slowing down. I added 512 to 256 and then low-level formatted the computer and reinstalled everything. It was considerably faster. I hope you experience the same.

Updating processors, from p3 to p4 will make a computer even faster. Add more rams would also producing even faster computer. Which ones actually making a compurter faster? I'm not fairly sure about this. About the giga hertz and all, how do u actually add your hertz and stuff?

What is low level formating? That sounds like something my computer needs.

low level formatting basically writes all zero's to the drive and takes quite a while depending on the size of the drive. you only need to do this if you suspect errors are on the drive.

how does one perform a low level format. Is it different than using a win98 boot disk to format FAT32, or an XP cd to format NTFS?
