HD Transfer

Im not sure if this goes here because if the problem is the HD or the OS. My dad just got a new Maxtor 160 GB and used the software with it to transfer everything from the other HD to this one. After the first reboot there was an error message about the Maxtor software and after that there was none. Everything seemes to be working fine except Office XP. The OS is XP and when I got an error when running Outlook it said to detect and repair. It asked for the XP disc then it has an error about patch package could not be opened and goes on to say if it exists, valid, and accessable... So I try to change and remove in the add/remove prog. and it has the same error as the repair for Outlook. Any knowledge about something like this?

Um, would you mind being more specific about these errors? It's hard to suggest fixes when we're not sure what is really broken.

Well the first error message was the windows thing that asks if you want to send or dont send. The Outlook message goes as:

An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Please run Setup and select "Repair..." to restore this application.

And when I run the repair I get this message:

This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.

Ok I downloaded the installer clean up but I dont see Office XP in the list it shows.
