Computer problems. Please help.

Well I used System Mechanic and apparently deleted something I shouldnt have. Norton System Works, no longer works.

I tried deleteing it in safe mode, and re-installing, but I only get the "modify" or "remove" options, when trying to re-install Systemworks.

When I click on System Works I get this error message:

this application has failed to start because gdiplus.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.


Then after clicking okay I get this message:

Symantec Integrator could not initialize the current frame class. Please make sure that you did not directly run the integrator.


Upon restaring my computer I get these two errors, in this order:

A necessary component for this function is missing or damaged (NAVProd). 1002,1

Then this after clicking OK,

A necessary component for this function is missing or damaged. 1003,1

Just delete through control panel and then clear it out the the program files and then try to install

Yah I've tried that. Thats what Im saying. Norton Sysytem Works 2003 doesnt even have a "remove" feature in the Add/Remove Programs feature. Just Change. Or Modify... whatever it was called.

I also can't click on pictures (say pictures Ive saved to my desktop) I guess the picture viewer got deleted. I can see them in Paint Shop.

Any help is much appreciated,

Do a search for AddRemove Pro. It will show more programs than the MS Add Remove Prog.

When this prob gets the best of me I go to regedit and do a search for norton and symantic and remove all the references to both, it takes quite a while to do this but it works for me, saved a lot of reformats. Just keep clicking search untill it says it's done.

Why not try re-installing? Or try change or modify?
