Cheetah modems???

Does anyone know anything about these? Currently have an HP Pavilion and I looked on the spec sheet and it said it had a Cheetah modem? I need the drivers for this modem for Windows 2000 pro, does anyone know where to get these or who develops them?

I guess even UMs can blow it. That is an internet services site. The Cheetah modem is a plain vanilla Lucent modem. The drivers available at: www.agere.com (lucent modem tech was spun off into Agere) work with v.90 modems for all ver of Win. If the modem is a v.92, then you might have to use the www.modemsite.com as I didn't see any drivers for the v.92 on agere's web site. It has a lot of modem drivers and stuff but it costs $1.50/mo to DL them and access the good info.

Cheetah Modems

Did your resolve your problem? I just upgraded to XP and I too have a Pavilion and I ran into some problems with the modem communicating with MSN. If you have any suggestions let me know.
