Outdoors jetway V266B motherboard wont recognise memory

hi all ,
new to the forum , ive just bought a jetway v266b motherboard
athlon xp 2100
maxtor 80gb
512mb sdram pc133 (only 256 works)
radeon 7200 graphics card
onboard sound
then problem was that when i first booted up it showed that i had 512mb sdram but then it froze , i did nemerous things to try to get it to boot but to na avail , then i took one stick of memory out and it worked great , i tried the other stick of memory and it wouldnt boot up even thouigh it recognised it , so i tried the stick that worked in both memory slots to see if it was the slot , but it worked great , i tried the other stick in both slots and it did not work , so i presumed the stick was bust , i tried it in my sons pc and it worked with no problems , so i tried my sons memory in mine with my 256 still in and again it recognised it at boot up but then froze , my 2 sdram 256 memory are both the same make and pc133 .
any help is very much appreciated as it has now got me really confused why it will work in my sons yet not on the jetway motherboard.
thanks
mrmacca

Do you happen to know the BIOS version? Maybe you should update it to A12, the latest BIOS available for your motherboard.

To Update your BIOS:
On a bootable disk, add the above BIOS file and Awdflash.exe to the disk. Boot from the disk, and type Awdflash at the prompt. Update your BIOS, and then reboot. Load the Setup Defaults in your BIOS and reboot.
