What is so good about CS 1.6?

I might wanna download Counter-Strike 1.6 but before I do I want to know more about it. Some people say "dont download it stinks" and other people say "download it its great!" but I dont know if I should download it or not. If you like it please tell me how is better. If you dont like it please tell me why it stinks. Thanks for those who did reply.

I havent downloaded it yet, but as far as i can tell your biggest issue would be with STEAM. Lots of people are upset because steams problems are causing them to be unable to play.

well...soon u will have no choice but to d/l it bcuz valve is tearing down the WON system, which will be replaced by steam....
CS 1.6 is really cool, there are 2 new cheap rifles and the shield
the shield will be considered cheap and annoying at first, but you will get used to it
the worst thing about 1.6 is STEAM
steam has crashed my system countless times and 75% of the time ive had to close steam and re-open it to get it to run (after ive been afk for a long time)

im not really looking forward to 1.6, cs 1.5 is my fav game and the only thing i really play and i would be pretty pissed if steam messes with my comp. but the actual game parts looks pretty good, i hope the game quality.

You can have 1.6 and 1.5 installed at the same time. You can play 1.6 for an hour then switch back over to 1.5 without reinstalling or changing anything.

atuaclly 1.6 has grown on me. i like the terrorist new rifle
