Any Comments on WindowBlinds
I bought both the Plus Packs for XP, and I'm not thrilled with the meager themes they provided. The Screensavers are cools, but the themes are lacking. I've been able to use my themes from the older Windows Plus 98, but I had to do some hacking to get them to work.
While looking around the web, I came across some XP specific themes. I downloaded them, but haven't tried them out yet. I also came across a program called "WindowBlinds", which goes the "skin" route. I downloaded the app and also several ready made skins. Reviews are mixed, but most seem positive. Anyone here, have any experience with it? I've learned to value the opinions and advice of my fellow Techmo members. Thanking all in advance.

I tried WindowBlinds for a while and it's okay.
I prefer StyleXP from TGTSoft.
Also, TGTSoft has a little app that patches XP so you can use their themes w/out actually having the program. Then you don't need anything but the themes. http://www.tgtsoft.com/prod_sxp.php | |

Whir, which is the TGTSoft patch I need to download? It looks like the patch Xeroid is suggesting, does the same thing. I really appreciate the info from both of you.

I tried it a while, as I did with StyleXP and many more. Actually these programs are very alike, but I must say they are just not for me though. Although its okay, not a bad program

Dan, what didn't you like about it? I'm starting to find, that I can pretty much cobble together my own themes. I have a huge selection of wallpaper, icons, cursors, and sounds. XP Pro claims you can do all this, and I've done it with Windows Plus 98.
If I add this patch, will it still allow me to use the XP Plus themes? I'm moving away from the WindowBlinds approach until I add more memory. It seems that using a shell will take up a lot of resources. Of course Windowblinds claims it won't. I am impressed how XP Pro handles memory so much better than Windows 98SE did. Well worth the money.

Do running these skins have any adverse affect on stability? Do adding in third party themes make Explorer unstable? I think it's safe to assume that I'll be using a lot more memory using themes.
