fan installation

when installing a fan on a case..which direction to i install the fan? do i install it so that the fan sucks the hot air from inside the computer out or di i install it so it'll suck the cool air from outside into the case?

aslo, i bought a computer case and it came with an 500watts psu, the brand of the psu is unknown, but i think it was made by the company i bought the case from ,www.cmicomputer.com. should i keep the power supply or go buy a brandname psu?

A good rule of thumb . . .

Fans on the front are intake (suck air in)

Fans on the top/back are exhaust (blow air out)

Fans on the sides can be either intake or exhaust, depending on what you need to equal the air pressure.

It depends on where the fan is installed and what other fans are in the case. Generaly the intake fans go at the bottom, exhaust at the top/back. Heat rises, so you want to not fight the natural air flow.
