If i start sending the error reports to microsoft will they help me fix my machine or do they just want my data?

Well, they won't be e-mailing you and telling you how to fix the problem. They use the information to create bug fixes and things like that. Personally, I never send the reports. The last thing most of us want is MS getting ahold of our system information.
There's an update to error reporting that'll sometimes give you a link to an explanation of what the problem is and suggestions on how to fix it.
I've talked to the people who actually handle those error reports and really all they're interested in is what program died and how it died, not anything about the person's system.
I ran prime 95 torture test and get the error illegal sumout. I think this means i have a software/driver problem.
I did accidentally leave norton antivirus on while uninstaling my realtek audio drivers could that have caused my os or drivers to get corrupted if so would that require a reinstalation of windows?
