just read... its SLOW
about .5mbps blech

better off buying some cheap nics and a cross over cable to connect them... but if this serves your purpose,it is of course up to you.

Send a message via Yahoo to muno
Wouldn't usb2 effectively increase the transfer rates to astonishing speeds?

I have 2 computers downstairs, linked to our home network with Linksys wireless USB adaptors, sharing the DSL connection. It's not warp drive, but it's plenty fast for my kids. I have a wireless card on my daughter's laptop, and the USB computers keep pace with the laptop. We're cable connected upstairs (mine and my son's) and we play "Quake" against each other. Wouldn't reccommend USB for that.

Good point muno. Unfortunately, my P4 is the only computer in my home that has the USB2 support.

I think the question here is about direct USB to USB connection. With a cable, not wireless.

I agree with vass, get a couple of cheap nics and a crossover cable.

Or you could get two of these and use a crossover if you don't want to crack open the cases to install NICs.

BTW, Mods, I posted the above twice as an edit and both times it disappeared. Weird.
