Network 2 computers

Hi Me again
I have now got my two computers up and running, one has winXP the other win98.
Both have an ethernet card installed and I have purchased 10m of cross over cable for the ethernet ports. My broadband cable modem is connected to the USB port on the winXP machine.
What do I do now please.
Confused
Rog
P.S both machines have spare USB ports.

The usb cable goes from the cable modem to the xp machine.

Then use the crossover cable to hook the two machines nics together.

Then take the XP cd and put it in the W98 machine.

I cant remember off the top of my head where it is, but find "other tasks" I think it is...there is a networking wizard that gets you set up for Internet Conenction Sharing (ICS)

I am sure there are plenty of descriptions on Mosfts site and probably also in help files on your xp machine.

Besides all that you can probably simply run the Networking Wizard on your xp machine and it will tell you what to do.

Good luck, JP
