Igo Juice - Power Tip #6

Are there other users of the Igo Juice 70 out there? In particular, owners of Satellite or Libretto (L) series notebooks using power tip #6?

When I plug the system into my home/office outlet, the LED fades from bright to dim and back again. Plugging in my laptop, the power fades in and out. When I plug it in my vehicle with the same power tip, I have no problems. Searching the web, it seems this is a known problem relative to the auto-sensing technology used in the unit.

Looking for other users in similar situation that may have found a resoultion. I'm waiting for tech support to get back to me, but from what I've seen on the web, it doesn't look good.

Well, haven't heard from tech support via e-mail as of yet...and I'm impatient. So I called tech support....

Good news. There is a replacement tip for #6....6A. On the downside, I think it is the replacement tip I have as it as an A encircled on the bottom; not all of the included tips have that. In any event, Mr. Tech Support suggested that I power on my laptop first before inserting the adapter and IT WORKS!!.

If you have power tip #6, you need to obtain #6A. If the problem persists (Blue led fading in and out, power fading in and out), turn on your laptop first, then connect the iGO peripheral.

Igo Juice - Power Tip #6 for Toshiba

I'm faced with same problem with Tip#6 for Toshiba Satellite 1400. I bought IGO Juice three days ago in Washington DC where it worked fine in the hotel. Back in Montreal it's not working -- power swings on and off and blue led blinks on and off. Please let me know if you find solution. Puzzled why it worked the first couple of days.

Oops, didn't see your reply. I also have the 6A tip. Powering on laptop first before connecting did not help.
One difference I had in Washington was use of wireless card. Here in Montreal I'm using DSL ethernet wired connection for internet. Not sure why that would matter.
