Memory question

What is the difference between a single sided memory module and a double sided memory module?
Both sticks are PC-2700, both are 256MB's, but different brand names.

thanks jerry for the link but it didn't tell me much. I need to know if the single sided stick is high density or is it the double sided stick. I think I know that the single sided is high but I'm just not sure.

Tip: Dense = More.

I consider myself a tech kind of guy, but I've always thought it would be nice if ram manufacturers would actually put something on their chips and/or sticks that said in plain simple words, what it is!!! 256MG or 512MG. Instead, most if not all have a combo of numbers and letters that make no sense at all, except to the manufacturer. It's like reading a bar-code, without the code book. Utilities like Sandra will tell you, if they're onboard, but I've collected a lot of different ram sticks over the years from myself, and from other people. I've managed to catalog my own sticks, by placing them in anti-static bags, and putting a lable on them as to what they are, but I have a lot of GOK (God only knows) chips, that I have no clear idea of what they are, until I plug them in. There's got to be a better way.

the single sided stick is the high density one, since it has the same amount of ram spread over less chips, thus, the amount of Mb's per chip is higher.
