MSI K7N2L Delta ISLR

Hello All New to this forum...


Just having some problems with my new board.....


1. I have a PNY GF4Ti4200 128mb DRR Vid card... The MB can see the card. The problem is when it tries to install, the VGA controller it blows an error. Saying the VGA controller in not configured right. I can’t even find the VGA controller anywhere... any idea’s????.....


2. Also when ever I make a change or update the bios or put in new software ETC.... Anything that requires a restart. Sometimes after the reboot the system kick out 1 long beep it stops then repeats. Only way to fix is to power it down wait a sec or 2 then power backup...


1 other thing I had a MSI K7N2L in there b4. My new mobo is different. Is it possible that I may need to format and install OS again????

why do you change to the ILSR?!

Did you disable the onboard video? (believe that model has it)

What OS? If you're in XP then ya it would probably be best for a reinstall.
Did you change processors as well?

If you're in Win98 there was a key you could delete from the registry to clear a lot of that info.

I wanted to have Support for SATA and it had the better Nvidia Nforce chipset......

OS= XP Pro

Anyway i fixed the VGA controller problem.. Just had to reinstall OS. TY 4 the tip....


Still having the problem with restarting... It kick out 1 longbeep...... Think maybe memory chk is enabled on the bios (hummm).. Ill will chk that 1 out...Any other suggestion would be helpfull
