Systems Empty Folders in My Network Places on Win XP

I've seen several folks with similar problems, but none exactly like mine, so here goes: I have 2 computers, both with XP Home, networked together using a D-Link DI-604 router, which is connected to my cable modem. Both computers can access the Internet. I have enabled sharing on both PCs. PC2 can "see" PC1 and pull files from it or push files to it with no problems. PC1 seems to be able to see PC2 -- when you click on My Network Places, all the drives from both PC1 and PC2 show up. However, when I click on any of the folders, nothing shows up. Even the folders from my own computer (PC1) show up as empty. This is a very frustrating problem, and I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer some advice. I have turned off ICF on both computers, and I have Zone Alarm Pro running on both. I have tried turning off Zone Alarm, with no effect on this problem.

I've never heard/seen this before.

Are you using the same username to access both PC's? If not, you need to make sure each username has an account on each PC.
