Bios Type Uknown

I'm trying to upgrade Toshiba 470CDT Bios but 'AIDA32' and 'Bios Agent' haven't identify the type of Bios Toshiba is running. Please suggest other methods of identifying system BIOS. Thanks Moab

Get an upgrade here->

Select support->Tech Support Center->Portables->Satellite Pro->470CDT and apply bios filter.

The toshiba flash bios version 6.90 is the current version I've on my pc. I can't figure out why windows won't boot cd-rom even when bios has been set to boot from cd-rom. How can I install windows 2000 with cd-rom startup cd I appreciate your help. Moab

To install Windows 2000, you need to create a 4 disk floppy boot set.

Here's how

To boot toshiba from alternative boot location, you need to press 'f2' when the toshiba logo appears on the screen. From there, choose cdrom.
If the bootlocation prompt is disabled from bios, f2 will do nothing.

Of course, your cd might not be bootable, in which case, the bootlocation chooser will fail too...
