Misc Not able to access network while creating Image -- Norton Ghost 7.5

Hi,

I am using HP-omnibookEx3 for master and slave.

I have downloaded gclan110.exe (lan driver) and installed on master. While creating the bootdisk i have added this driver i.e
i have selected EN5251.dos.

Using the bootdisk i started creating the image, but while i was trying to store the image on the network. I was not able to access the network only the A: drive is getting displayed.

What should i do to make the network accessible, do i need
to do anything with lan driver ??

Please advice.. Your help is highly appreciated

Note: I am using Norton Ghost 7.5

Regards
Surya kumar

Not real clear on what you are trying to do here, sorry.

Are you trying to boot directly from the LAN adapter, rather than from a hard drive or floppy disk? You need a motherboard that will support booting from network, then, and change to that option in the BIOS.

Or am I way off target, here?

Cheers
Mick

are you trying to create your own ghost disk to use for your network card?

Is it an XE-3?

And is it a GC, GD, GE, or GF model?

There is a sticker on the bottom that will tell you what two letters it is.

I don't think they all have the same onboard NIC.

- Make sure you used the Network Boot Disk wizard

- You will need to know the IP address of the machine you're going to clone to. Is this on a network, or are you going from PC to PC? If it's PC to PC, make sure you're using a crossover cable and not a patch cable

Send a message via Yahoo to muno
I don't know about ghosts bootdisk building procedure, but it needs a tcpip stack to initialize, after which you need to logon and map a drive.
