Systems MFC Application

hello everyone

i have had my share of computer problems, but i am experiencing something that i am stumped on how to fix. i've tried everything i know.

i have microsoft xp home edition.
all of the sudden, last week i started getting an error message from the MFC app. it states "s**t. connection failure."

what is this? connection to what? it pops up every 5 minutes or so, so i have to keep closing it. its annoying - and whats up with the cuss word?

somebody please help! both the hp and microsoft website have been absolutely worthless., and i cant afford to pay someone to figure this out.

thank you for any replies

Run adaware (www.lavasoft.de)
Run antivirus scans (make sure your antivirus is updated)

i have norton antivirus and personal firewall. there were no viruses. i am flabbergasted that even though i have these hack preventions, something still got through.

again thank you so much. that thing was driving me crazy!

Glad it helped

Welcome to TechIMO

1. You're probably using Internet Exploder for a browser. RUN AWAY!!! Use a better browser like Opera or mozilla they won't welcome spyware with open arms.

2. I kinda figured it was spyware. An error message like "SH** Connection failure" is not a sign of a professional Thats something I would do in my progamming while debugging
