Sorry zskillz, although i'm sure that you wouldn't do anything illegal and your intention is only saving yourself troubles and time, but i can't let this discussion go on because it is a clear violation of the rules (ours and M$'s).

richeemxx.... I don't need you to explain the rules to me. I have read them, but thank you anyway. this is why I posted the first sentence.
let me make something clear here. I'm not looking to permanently use invalid licenses because we will get in trouble with the university (and potentially microsoft) anyway. I am just having a very difficult time getting the right media and license plans from the university because they are not as organized as could be wished.
anyway...

Hi,
unfortunally the only option for you is to reinstall windows or wait till you get the valid licenses.
hacking this activation thing is very hard (from what i hear, i would never try to do it, lol)
srry if you do not want to hear this...
But i agree with richeemxx, we are not really allowed to discuss: Quote:

| be harsh on me if you want to, but these are the rules....... I'm srry

-Z | If you read the FAQ's and don't need to know the rules then this should never have been posted to begin with. But anyways
your in violation of any EULA just by installing the software from a dell install cd. This is a none transferable medium and aren't supposed to be used on any other computer than the one it came with. Now blow by all that and your installing this to a group of university computers and you have a big no no. Only legal way by all the issues is to go out and buy appropriate software and get the licenses, which is not a hassle for a university to do.

I just love "Armchair Moderators".
If you think it's in violation of TIMO's FAQ's, report it to a mod and move on.

Sorry it took so long, Yes zskillz there really isn't much you can do to get rid of the registration to MS legally
anything outside of that is illegal I'm afraid
