Gaming Serious CS problem!!

Alright, I got a new computer it has Win. XP
I have counter-strike on it, and when I play CS I can play a few rounds then all of a sudden my computer restarts
We are currently trying to wirelessly network our computer (which we are having a LOT of trouble with) not sure if this has to do with it
but if there is any advice, i'd love to hear
thanks

system specs?

what wireless devices are you using? I dont think it has anything to do with the wireless. Sounds like overheating or something else.

umm

well, right now it's not wireless, i'm just using the DSL Modem
2.6 AMD Athlon
256 RAM DDR
32 vid card
Sympatico DSL

I even did a Scan Disk, this comp is BRAND NEW, It might be because of my old sympatico software i installed, from like 5 years ago, it said it might not be compatible, but i un-installed it and put a newer version on

So, maybe I need to re-format? (which i don't know how)
lol, reminder again, 3 days old this comp is

*THANKS AGAIN*

well, I'm assuming since it's brand new, all the latest drivers would be included with the CD, when it was installed

Only thing that I can think would be the problem is the old software i installed with sympatico...

not sure though

If you're right in the middle of gaming, when your processor is being used the most, you could be overheating. Make sure you have the fan/heatsink properly installed. You can probaly check your temps in the BIOS

wow could cpu temp really affect my ping? *glance at MBM*
it says 70c
my wireless drivers are updated...could it be that USB wireless things are bad?
