im really confused here, if anyone has an idea which card is better, because i finally stopped buying, er stuff long enough to afford another 3d card, er here is teh links

The 256mb versions arent worth it. They can actually perform worse than the 128mb versions.

I agree with Tony
Last benchmarks I saw with Radeons 9800's the 128 beated the 256 version in the tests. I just dont know why, the 256 versions should be better IMO.

I've heard that, but I never understood why. Can someone give an explanation?

the 256MB version contains "slough off" ram from the last video card generation.

pretty much it contains a LOT of cheap, slow ram compaired to the quicker ram on the 128MB

i believe that the ram on the 256MB version is about 7ns whereas the 128MB version has 3ns [or within tenths of what i gave]

if you're gonna blast the money for a 9600PRO, at least stab for a 9800 np or se, or a 9700np, they're all just a little more expensive, but do much much better.

this is just my opinion though.
