Audigy 2 or Digifire 7.1 or Fortissimo III?

i need major help deciding which one to get from ncix.com (digifire is at futureshop) (btw i am canadian..so..ya) i am getting z680s, and i wanna get their full potential, or the most possible. i have a choice of either Audigy 2 or Digifire 7.1 or Fortissimo III, but they are slightly higher and lower in price. i also like the face that hercules put optical outs, and i am planning to use it. should i still go with audigy 2 or hercules? i want most compatible with 5.1 types of sound fx like eax, eax 2 , HD, etc....even though i don't know what is the differece, can you explain please?

I like my Audigy 2 Platinum which i got for 129.99 on sale. I think a new ZS series or something came out. It supports 5.1 and 6.1 and EAX. I like it so far. Only problem I had was I didn't know how to get the microphone to work. But I just fixed it.

have you considered an M-Audio Revolution? that's the sound card I'm going to get. others in here will suggest a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz because it gives you the most for your money.

as for the choices you gave, I would go with a Fortissimo. I heard waaay too many horror stories with Creative to consider buying and sound cards from them. i choose the fortissimo over the digifire mainly to save money and because all i need i can get from the fortissimo. why pay extra for features you're not going to use?

well i can get an audigy 2 (OEM) w/o gold plated inputs for $108 CDN from www.ncix.com. it is canadian dollars so it will be much less in american dollars. i haven't heard 1 horror story about an audigy 2. i have made my choice:Audigy 2 but i am wondering whether i will get the creative play center(that thing that shows off the features of your card and stuff...) with the oem, bcuz i dun care about the box, i just want the playcenter and the drivers, so tha ti can show off the 5.1 surround sound from the 680s and the quality of the audigy 2. I am just so scared that i will not recieve my product and i won't be able to do anything about it because this is going to be the most money i have ever spent online, or even at once, ever! can you tell me what i can do to make sure i don't get faulty products and/or unexpected stuff like what is included iwh tthe oem sound card(audigy 2)? thanx a lot, i know i am a bit paranoid, but i want this to be just perfect.
