vfret is on a distinguished road
proxy2.0 and 2000 server.

I'm adding a 2000 SBS server to an existing network. The old server is NT4.5 running proxy 2.0. Ther is also an Exchange server on this 4.5 server. My problem is I'm trying to add a 2000 SBS server to this network with a new domain designation. The old domain is "springboard" and the new is "spring". I'm not really sure how to go about the changeover. I need to get the 2000 server on the internet to get to some downloads before I can install the Small Business protion. Has anyone installed proxy 2.0 on a 2000 server. I found a microsoft article telling me how to do so. My other problem is I can't have any down time to the users. I was hoping to add the server to the network, download the updates I needed, and then join the NT workstations to the new domain. There is also a new exchange server on the new server. I hoping to find someone that has done something like this and can shed some light as to which direction I can achieve this with the least amount of down time. I've never worked with a proxy although slightly familiar with how they work. I'm not stupid, I just have never worked with a proxy. There are also no Ip address. the IP of the older server with the exchange server on it is 10.0.0.2. I assume the proxy is handeling the transfer of the mail from the public IP on the Cisco 675 to the server. Any help is apprecited. Thaks.
