Counter Strike run trouble

Since I installed this ATI Radeon video card I can not run when playing counter strike. I removed the card and installed my old one and I ran fine so I know it is this card. If I keep hitting the walk key I can run for a few seconds. Anyone have any ifo to offer for this problem?

Is this with 1.5 or 1.6?

try adding these commands to your config.cfg.

ati_subdiv "0"
ati_npatch "0"

Thanks for your reply Keith.

I found the problem. Beleive it or not I spent several hours playing with every possible configuration and it came down to the num lock key. Funny huh?

I still can not understand how a num lock key can affect a video card but it does because I did not have to press it to play CS when my original video card is installed.
