Kids Digital Cable to DVD Burner is this Difficult

Seeings I have no idea on this concept, I thought someone might know if it's difficult to get my Digital Cable signal into my PC and then what's necessary to capture this stuff so I can Burn off DVD's of programs/movies etc?

Sounds like you're in the market for a TV Tuner card to me. They have a cable connection and software for doing video capture.

Search TechIMO or Froogle and you'll find no shortage of ideas. They're not particularly expensive.

As I said, there are many threads here on that topic. I've not bought one myself but I've been thinking about one for a while.

There are really two options if you go for a tuner card.

1) Get one that is digital capeable (Mega $$$)
2) Get a regular card (~$50) and use an external tuner. Set the card to channel 3 and just use the external tuner.

Option 2 will work well if you know what you record and set it to that channel. It will not work well if you want a Tivo-like setup.

I really like this one for recording TV. The Deluxe model has plenty of software, and an infared (line of sight) remote included. I have not tried burning a recording to a DVD, might want to read the reviews.
