FX5600 256mb

Hi Everyone

I live in the UK and have just purchased a Chaintech FX5600 256mb. I waqnted to buy locally and got this card for £130 which was cheaper than other FX cards with only 128mb.However I have searched the WWW but cannot find any reviews for this card only the Ultra version. Have I bought a good card or should I have bought another manufaturers version or should I have bought a different card altogether. I am prepared to pay approx what I paid for this card £130.

Another question is what settings should I change on the card to get the most from the card. My previous card was a QuadroPro2 64mb which seemed to run all the latest games but settings not upto max.

Can someone help as if I need to return the card I need to do this very soon.

Thanks
Alan

Is it not working right? Is it not fast enough for your games?

I'm not up on the latest video cards, but I'd say that now that you have it and it works for you then keep it!

Yeah, if you like it, keep it! That said, there are better cards out there, but they will cost a bit more. Getting 256mb isnt really worth it unless you got a FX5900 or Radeon 9800. Those are the only 2 cards that can really begin to utilize 256mb. The 128mb version of the 5600 outperforms the 256mb version, I think. What you could do is save up a bit more money and get a radeon 9600. Again, this is only if you arent satisfied with your cards performance. Its a good card. But there are better.
