There are two ways to do it.
You either get a tvtuner card, or your vidcard has to have vivo.
With tvtuner card, you just plug the cable into the tuner and watch tv.
With vivo, you need some intermediate device, eg. vcr between, run the cable to the vcr, and from there into the rca/svhs input of your video card.

Kids TV to Laptop?

I am having the same problem, except I am trying to get the TV to work on my Laptop. Does anyone have any suggestions? It has to be either PCMCIA or USB!

I have a lifeview flyvideo3000, cost 47€ and works like a champ
You can get them pretty easily, if its anything but hauppage you'll have stereo sound and radio as well. (hauppage cards cost alot, and the cheapest models are monotv, no radio or anything).
The software comes with the card.
If you happen to have a vivo card, you can get software to view the videoinput port from the card manuf site. Eg. asus has asus live to watch input video.

That would work, I really want to use it to play my Playstation 2 through my Laptop screen. I don't need the radio or additional channels. Where can I find this item?

I was replying to jmoore. I don't know any laptops that would have svideo/composite input. Only output, thus, I don't believe it will ever work with laptop.
