Thinkpad 770E Display Problem!

I have a TP 770E and the display has a large black border around it... it's just not using the whole screen....

I know the screen phsically works because it uses the whole thing when I'm in the setup screen...

I already tried getting the latest drivers off the net and it the problem still resides....

any help would be much appreciated....

Have you tried changing the screen resolution size? Many laptops can display other than their default/recommended size, but its not pretty.
