Free Dial-Up Internet Provider

Can anyone recommend any good free dial-up internet providers? I only know of NetZero. Links to where I can download them and monthly time limit information would be helpful.

It totally depends on where you live. There are very few free ISP's since the big changeback in November 2000. The few free services are mainly in the largest urban areas and have limits on use.

You can try a couple of sites below to see if there is a free one in your area.

http://www.freedomlist.com/
http://www.all-free-isp.com/

Other than that here are links to the two most inexpensive pay ISP's I am aware of and both offer vrey good and reliable service. Note there are some conditionsto get these low prices.

Heh we've always payed 15 a month for dialup. at first with KIH it was for over 200 hours a month, and now unlimited with qx.net. both are (were) local isps. service speed has always been 26.4 though.

Thanks for the links, DoctorReno.

My first ISP was AOL, but... well... you know AOL.... I started using NetZero until about a year ago when I FINALLY got DSL. I am asking for a friend who is shacking up at her grandparents' house for a few months and needs internet.

How about http://www.bamnet.com/ if she only needs to check email and such? Prepaid is good for a select few, but for most of us like me that sit on a rock for a chair surfing on DSL it doesn't cut the mustard.
