Kids what cable can I use with a Linksys BEFSR41 router???

I have a linksys etherfast 4-port cable/DSL router, mfr. #BEFSR41. i am going to network two computers to share a DSL connection. the router came with cat 5 cable, but i was wondering to i have to use cat 5, or could I use cat 5e, or even cat 6 in my network? can I mix and match the cable types or do I have to use the same cable throughout my configuration? thanks in advance.

regards,
kevin

Your router is only good upto 100Mbps, so Cat5 is fine. I believe Cat5e/6 is for Gigabit (1000Mbps). You can use Cat5e/6, but you're not going to get over 100Mbps.

You can mix/match w/ no problem.
