Cousin's Rig

My Cousin asked me to build him a budget gaming rig. Here's what we ordered:

* CX-5759 MidiTower 350W ATX (AMD&P4 OK)
* EPoX EP-8K9AI KT400 5PCI 1AGP8x 3DDR-DIMM UDMA133 LAN Audio SPDIF SocketA ATX
* AMD Athlon XP2400+ Thoroughbred 2000MHz/2.0GHz 256Kb 266MHz 0.13 bulk SocketA
* Spire WhisperRock IV 21dBA SocketA (max XP3200+)
* TwinMOS Original 256Mb DDR-DIMM PC3200/DDR400 184pin 400MHz CAS2.5
* Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST380011A 80Gb 7200rpm 2Mb UDMA100 IDE
* LG Electronics GCE-8481B CD-RW 48x24x48x including Nero Retail
* MSI Geforce FX 5600 128Mb DDR

The mobo was chosen because of its very low price.

Any comments on this setup?

Other than having no idea what this is and not being able to find any pages in English on it...
Spire WhisperRock IV 21dBA SocketA

It looks pretty good. How much was the Mobo?
Also the RAM is pretty low. Only 256? You can get 512 of PC3200 (Crucial) for about $90. Other stuff cheaper.

What I was looking for was if anyone knew of any problems or conflicts with the setup.

The FX5600 was chosen because A) The Geforce 4 Ti4200 128Mb card we ordered originally wasn't due in for another 2 weeks and B) FX 5200 is out of the question. We were aiming for $150 for a videocard.

The mobo was under $50 and that's why we picked it instead of an nForce2 mobo. This is a budget rig, remember.

The fan I don't know much about eighter. If it's crap then we'll probably replace it, but since there's no OC-ing planned it'll probably do.

We cheaped out at the RAM, because he was on a budget. But he can always get more RAM later.

Games that will be played: Warcraft 3, Operation Flashpoint, Freelancer and a bunch of other stuff.

for a budget gaming rig the 5600 is plenty. it's also cheaper than the 9600.
