Dual monitors on a Ti4200

I'm using a DVI to VGA adapter to plug 2 monitors into my asus ti4200. I remember back in the day when I had 2 video cards running 2 monitors that I could maximize a window to 1024 x 768 in either monitor. Now if I hit the maximize button, it maximizes to 2048 x 768 spanning across both monitors. Does anybody know how to make it like it used to be? Thanks

Nvidia has something called "desktop manager"


comes with the drivers..
