grr... IE problems now.

hello

after i reformatted last night... i could finally install ie6 w/o any errors on w2k.

now, ie 6 wont keep a list of visited sites... you know where it stores a bunch of sites you've recently typed in the browser?

it doesnt seem to be saving any addresses

can this be fixed?

thanks

eryk

Get into your Control Panel, Internet Options icon, Content tab, Personal Information section and Auto Complete button. Set'er up.

Cheers!

Do you mean java logging enabled?

Internet Options, Advanced tab.

Try that.

Cheers!

Why don't you try any other browsers besides Internet Explorer? Many people have or are doing it and there are great options for you to choose from. For example one of the most popular ones are Opera (www.opera.com) or Mozilla (www.mozilla.org) Both are freeware (well Opera in a sord of way isnt...) and they could really help you when you are having big troubles with Internet Explorer. Also you don't get as many spyware and stuff that Interent Explorer contains a lot. Just a suggestion. Good Luck!

Do you mean the address bar? If you haven't been carefull it can get moved under another bar. Unlock the tool bars (right click in a grey area) and see if address bar is checked. And Opera is nice.

i would take a screenshot but im too busy...

you know on the browser theres a go button.... directly on the left, theres a big long white bare and it has the address of the website you are visiting.

there is also a button on the right of the white bar and it has a triangle pointing down... when you click it, a box comes down and ususally has all the websites you've typed in before/visited saved there.

its not doing it on my comp and i jsut reformatted.

Why do you want to stick with Internet Explorer so much? If its making your life miserable then you have options as I stated in my other post. I really dont know what your problem is or how to solve it, but I know I have had friends that they just couldnt fix their screwed up IE so they changed to an other browser and now they are happy. Just my suggestion, try Mozilla or Opera, or maybe Netscape.
