I need help in deciding...

First off i would like to say hi, as im new here, and add that this is a great forum.

Ok, down to business. Laptops. Im faced with several decisions now. I cannot decide between a Sager or Alienware. I went to a Sager forum, and found that the ATI card has quite a bit of problems in it. But then i heard people say that the Nvidia card is no better. So basically what im asking is what should i go with. The Alienware with the FX Go5600, or the Sager with the Radeon 9600?

i would say sager just because of the price.....the systems are essentially no different from one another Alienware just tacks on that hugs price tag.

But what about the cards, that is one of my main concerns.

If you're looking to game with the laptop, go with the ATI 9600 pro. Heres a link to a comparison of the ATI mobility R9600 and the Nvidia FX5650 Go (the fastest mobile vdo cards available for both of the manufacturers):

http://www.anandtech.com/mobile/showdoc.html?i=1866

They show the a number of benchmark results from games like the upcoming HL2 and other DX9 graphics applications/games. (Nvidia get whooped big time)

I'm not sure about the problems that you're mentioning but I'm sure the newest drivers would be able to fix most of them since I've noticed that old drivers are usually the problems that people have.
