help with tvs and svideo

i am using my s-video connection from my geforce 4 mx 440 to hook up my comp to my tv, and everything shows up except videos played in realone, winamp, divx player, etc. is that because my tv doesnt have an divx codec on it? if so, is there a way to get this to work?

Nope. What you need to do is in the Nvidia Clone settings, set the TV as the default viewing device. Only the Default can show video (I dunno why, it seems stupid, but thats how any video card Ive ever seen is)

Heres a pic incase im not describing it well

get yourself Media Player classic this will run real media and quicktime (so long as you have the codecs installed and will do what you ask.

this is so long as you already have the clone setting setup as above

You may also want to look around for a theatre setting that will make whatever video you're watching on your computer automatically full screen on your TV-out. Then you can play around on the computer while you or others watch the video on the TV without all the computer crap on the TV.
