Problems with WIndows Xp Installation/Problems with windows 2000 in general
First Things First I tried installing windows xp and i the setup screen it just stalls and doesn't budge this has happened about 5 timees in a row and for somereason windows xp doesn't want to install.
ALso my windows 200 seems to be acting funny, like giving me errors when i am trying to play a game causing my game to shut down as it just restarts out of th eblue plz help me
Last time i had that happen with xp a bios flash with newest version fixed the problem. It was a brand new mobo, just had arrived in mail, but bios was over a year old already.
XP installation uses a lot of system resources as do games.
My suggestions in order of testing\checking would be; 1. CPU\RAM\FSB not overclocked. 2. RAM not failing. 3. System Temps not too high. 4. Power Supply not giving out. If all of these fail, Your CPU may be damaged from excessive heat (as was my 2600+) or your Graphics card may be sick. Ohh and you should check all of your connections are firmly in place (a bad HDD connection can cause untold problems)
