Another one of these, most people here prefer AMD because of the price performance ratio.

It all depends, if your looking at P4's under 2.6 Ghz then go with AMD, but if your looking at a P4 over 2.6 Ghz then go with Intel IMO.

The Athlon XP Barton 2500+ is the most popular of the AMD series, for the net price of $80, you simply cant beat.

But my vote goes to Intel, the new C (800 Mhz FSB) is exellent.

I would have to say AMD. I bought the XP 2600 when it was around $250. It runs much faster than my P4 2.6ghz Lappy. I just can't believe it. It also runs quicker than the one's that my dad has at his office which are 2.6ghz, too.

Price on them is great and you can't beat the performance. They run a little bit hotter but, so what? You get more performance for your $$$.

But, didn't we ALREADY do this, like, a couple weeks ago or something?

And I agree with DarthGary. And I'm not going to vote on either because they are both good for some things.

All things being equal (if in fact, they are), can Intel still be trusted?
