Radeon 9600 Pro, dual monitors
I just recently bought a Radeon 9600pro because ive gotten a little fed up with nvidia lately(used to be a die-hard nvidia fan).
I was wondering how u could take advantage of dual monitor support. Do i use that adapter that converts that DVI into vga(dont know if that what u call that blue plug), then plug in one monitor into the regular blue port, and the other oneinto the adapter?

Yup! Then go to your Display Properties and enable the second monitor.
Cheers!

If you don't have a TV in your computer room, purchase a TV Tuner card.
Here's what I setup this week.

WOW!
and thats running off of one pc?
Also do u reccomend spreading them out, or putting the monitors close together?
i just was looking at their "Hydervision" software, and looked under "products supporting hydrovision" and radeon 9600 pro wasnt there......so that means i cant use that software right?

Its up to you. You only need them close togather if you strech the desktop over both.

Hydravision should work with any Radeon with dual displays.
I keep my monitors right next to eachother and use them as one large desktop. Makes doing web work and programming a lot easier.

128 divided by 2 if both monitors are enabled. YUou can disable one monitor when necessary.

The 9600 chip supports dual monitors just fine, without requiring any companion chip. CRT+TV, CRT+DVI, CRT+CRT, DVI+TV, CRT+DVI+TV are supported (2nd CRT through DVI-VGA adapter, three-output mode will have the TV cloning one of the other two).
