My vote would be for that new Lian Li case, but I don't think you'll find it for $100!! At least twice that. I think Antec makes a nice quiet one too.

you can always do sound proofing.. using rubber grommets and stuff with your screws to minimize vibration

I like the Prosource Galaxy or Koala series cases from NewEgg. The only mods I do to them is removal of the punched fan grills and using wire grills. The power supplies work very nice and are quiet.

To spend a bit more, you could look to the Antec Sonata case, which you can get from NewEgg for $95+ $18 shipping, or Directron for $96 plus shipping. It comes with the True380 power supply and a 120mm rear fan in the case.

The last 3 systems I built are in 1 Galaxy w/ 300W power supply, and two Koala's with 350W power supplies. The basic builds on the first two are K7S5A Pro motherboards, XP2100 Tbred B, 512Mb DDR, 1 Maxtor 80Gb ATA133, 2 CD/DVD/CDRW drives, ATI Radeon 9200 DVI. All are running rock stable (I check up on my customers) on Windows XP Pro.

The newest one is Abit NF7-S, XP2400+, 1Gb Geil PC3200, 1 Maxtor 120Gb ATA133, LiteOn CDRW/DVDROM drive, Pioneer AO6 DVD +/- RW burner, Sapphire Radeon 9200 SE, Dlink Airplus Wireless PCI card in the Pro Source Galaxy (Grey/Beige) w/ 300W PSU. My cousin loves the system, and has been going nuts burning DVDs with it

The LED bars on the front of the case look WAY BETTER than the pictures show, and double as a really cool night light if it's in your bedroom
