Boot your PC with your winXP CD in .. then during the install process choose the current winXP partition (supposedly c: ) and choose to format it ..
That way winXP will be installed on a formated fresh partition.
PS. you will loose everything you have on your current winXP partition.

Boot with a Win98 boot disk and at the A: prompt type "format C:". Then you can use FDISK.exe to repartition the drive.

www.bootdisk.com

you can download any sort of bootdisk you want. Boot to the disk, then run "fdisk" and choose option "delete partition" then probably choose "delete non-dos partition".

Maybe someone can chime in and help us, but there is probably a way to make XP boot disks either off of the computer or off of the XP Disk.

No, you dont want to "delete" the partition..you want to set up windows ON that partition.

I think it says some junk about already having an install of windows there but you go on anyway, then you can choose to "format" the partition...that is what you need to do..just format over it to wipe out the old info.

Write zeros to the drive using the hard drive manufacturers boot disk. It will be squeaky clean and you won't have any issues loading the OS.
