k7s5a sis735 chipset amd athlon xp 2000+ecs mainboard

what is the best way to check cpu, or motherboard after having changed psu. psu that came in case was enlight corp. model no.ats 150. and what is proper way to restart unit. and is there a way of checking out motherboard , or cpu to see if ther working or not also what is standerd psu should be in it. all help would be aprieciated .

the first psu that came with unit burnt out changed that one with synergy model no. dsp-atx-250 amp it goes on for min. or two then trips off were should i start to try to repair unit when it was runing it ran great

The replacement probably is WAY too weak at 250 watts.

else

remove cpu fan for minute and see if it gets hot.

DON'T ever remove the CPU fan, not even for a second. If the CPU is operating under that connection, it'll survive no longer than a few seconds before it dies thermal death.

Yep don't even think about taking the CPU fan off. You will fry it. I too think your PSU is weak.

ECS K7S5A Pro board with AMD processor of athlon 2000xp or above will most likely require a MINIMUM power supply of 300WATTS!!!

And thats with the minimal amount of equipment!

~cdrom, hdd, floppy, 1 stick of ram, cpu, and 1 case fan~

anything more and its gonna require a 400Watt+ PSU.

Its stated in the manual itself...read!
